Echodyne has developed revolutionary radar technology to counter the rapidly emerging threat posed by Unmanned Ariel Vehicles (UAVs): a low cost, high performance Metamaterials Electronically Scanned Array (MESA) radar system built on a large collection of novel, proprietary technologies.
Echodyne’s radar modules can be integrated into hybrid systems capable of early, long-range detection of extremely small radar cross section targets, such as small commercial drones, which are commonly used for surveillance or to carry ordinance in asymmetric warfare environments. The unique detection capability provided by Echodyne’s technology enables rapid and reliable detection and mitigation of modern airborne and ground-based threats.
Echodyne’s scanned arrays provide accurate elevation data, unlike WWII-style rotating radar systems that provide only azimuth information. This capability, as well as the capability to track up to 20 targets per panel at up to 10Hz update rate, makes Echodyne’s solution a uniquely capable C-UAS solution available outside of restricted military hardware.
